Some of her favorite memories are: bringing her former director, Susan Jaffe, over to work with her dancers in Ireland and assisting Royal Ballet First Soloist, Calvin Richardson, with his new works for Bavarian State Ballet.
Additionally, Lauren taught students from beginner to professional internationally. One student started late and wound up at the prestigious Central School of Ballet in London. Another, went on to Zurich Ballet and Boston Ballet.
Throughout her dance career, Lauren has been teaching Pilates, Fitness Barre, and traditional Ballet Classes for more than a decade. She’s helped people reach their dance career goals as well as their fitness or stretching goals!

Approach/Philosophy:

I focus on healthy alignment and correct muscle engagement in all of my classes. Exercises are challenging but the mood is always fun! I encourage people to just give all the exercises a go – they might seem challenging at first but practice makes perfect. My Mat Pilates classes are very unique and feature choreographed sequences using various props to either add weight or challenge our balance. At the end of every Pilates Mat class, there is always lots of stretching before we go on our way! If you’re taking a more traditional ballet barre class with me, the same theories apply with the additional focus on musicality and remembering a sequence of steps. If we’re doing fitness barre together, we will stay very upbeat, music going, moving from the mat, to the barre, to the center, etc.! Lastly, if you are one of my pregnant clients, we will make sure you understand your modifications and what you can carry on doing throughout your pregnancy and after your baby is born.
